Ephemeral propaganda

The slave owning democrats of the south once needed slaves to pick their cotton
The slave owners housed, fed, mistreated, and clothed their slaves to pick cotton
Now the democrats house, feed, and pay them to live so they can vote for a democrat
The "welfare" that they're given is what makes them modern day slaves
Just as slaves were completely dependent on their slave masters for they're life
The recipients of "welfare" are completely dependent on goverment for they're life
In the end nothing has truly changed the democrats still have they're slaves

This is the the reason african americans vote democratic
The "welfare" that is meant to help them has been going on for so long
So long that they have grown dependent on it the dependacy is so great they side with anyway who will continue to "help" them thus the democrats have created a slave voting army
But i dont blame them as they are born into slavery not knowing freedom
But until they realise the ones who once enslaved them still rely on they're "slaves" not for work but for votes they will realize they are still slaves dependent on their masters and their masters on still dependant on them
The day they open there eyes and wish to truly change and break the cycle they will vote for a republican but most wont for fear in cuts of their "welfare" but change is a hard thing to do
It is hard to change but the struggle and pain must be felt to truly feel free
This is why Abraham Lincoln set the slaves free, because of republican idealogy.

Lost Time

Is it possible to lose time?
Is there such a thing as lost time?
Things can be forgotten and time can be wasted,
People can be forgetful but was time lost?
To anyone or anything that has been forgotten you are not lost
Your just waiting to be found
Things arent truly lost they are either forgotten put aside or held on too
Just like time we keep going or we keep waiting
Whatever your case might be but never lose hope
Because someone or something is wanting and waiting to be discovered
Once found or rediscovered lights will shine
After all waiting is only a matter of time.

An immigrant in our own land

My thoughts on the poem are its a good poem it tells the tale of what will make you change what will take to change and the hardships you face while you try to change like a civilian becoming a prisoner or an immigrant in a new country or any person in general what must happen or what will you do to change.

journal topic december 1st

Every culture has an idea of peace and some are definitely better than others but every one does believe in peace no matter how violent they are everyone believes in peace among themselves or himself but everyone believes in peace even tyrants. But the means in which peace is acquired is hardly ever a peaceful method. But in the poem immigrants in our own land by jimmy santiago baca immigrants often come to new land to escape poverty and violence but there expectations are not gonna be met there dreams might be shattered because they might never change they leave their land because of violence only to come to a land and engulfed by new versions of violence and some might never find the peace they look for or so desperately need. Just like civilians heading to a prison or immigrants in new land the dreams in our hearts are always worth chasing if they dont exist.
